What’s U2?
For those that are not quite sure what U2 is, the first piece of the puzzle to know is that it revolves around two data servers: UniData and UniVerse. These are essentially sister products and share a lot in common. Both of them are MultiValue databases.
Along with this two data servers are a set of tools and API’s which are used for developing for and interfacing with the them.
The U2 data servers have passed through a long line of hands. Most recently, the current owners, Rocket Software purchased the U2 product line from IBM (where it was given the encompassing U2 name) at the end of 2009. UniData was originally developed by the Unidata Corporation and UniVerse by VMark Systems.
what’s your email address at Rocket? I’d like to email you some questions concerning UniVerse and using Subversion.
